Update - March 17, 2015

Happy St. Patty's Day! Here's a slightly modified limerick by Celia Warren.

Needing socks, should a gal feel a twit
If she sits down to circular knit?
Balls of wool - just unfurl one,
Cast on - knit one, purl one -
Five needles - turn heels - and that's it!

That's it!  Spring and Summer are the perfect time for knitting socks.  If you're looking for a class, look for a toe up sock class that will be on the schedule ASAP.
In shop news, there's so much I'm liable to forget it all!  I'm thrilled that Filati magazine is now available and has arrived with many of the Lana Grossa yarns that are used.  The summer yarns are beautiful!  Sasha is using Cashsilk Metallic to make a gorgeous summer cardigan.

As always she'll be done within days so come by and check it out.  The colors are muted and the metal is painted on, absolutely stunning!  As a side note, she just sat here and made a summer cowl out of the new super bulky cotton tape http://www.ravelry.com/yarns/library/katia-big-ribbon in the time it took me to help one customer (precisely 35 minutes).  We just put away a super soft worsted weight organic cotton on 13 delicious colors.  I have also hidden away two colors of two surprise summer yarns until the all the colors arrive.   I'm so exited about a DK weight, organic cotton that is made in the USA! It's kettle dyed and super soft.  I can't wait to get it on my needles.

I finished Gale (pictured above) made from Malabrigo Mecha while on vacation http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gale-2 It's hanging in the shop now but I plan to wear it throughout spring as it fits perfectly and I won't need a jacket over it. Right now I'm knitting what must be a super fast baby blanket using Classic Elite Sprout for an upcoming shower, http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/chevron-baby-blanket Since I must have at least two projects to keep me motivated, I am enjoying Well Water Hoodie http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/well-water-hoodie that I'm making out of Queensland Rustic Tweed.  I'm about half done and this DK weight, wool/angora blend feels fabulous and has the perfect drape.
Look for more summer yarns to arrive soon and for new additions to the class schedule!  Until then, I"ll leave you with another limerick.
Just a bit of Ireland
that I'm sending you today
to bring you luck and happiness
on this fine St. Patrick's day
It's a wee and tiny present
full of good luck and good wishes
Seems the little folk of Ireland
Have send you some
leprechaun kisses
