Update - October 1, 2015

It finally feels like a fall day and I feel fabulous because my boots are on and I'm wearing a sweater that I made last year out of luxurious silk and mohair blend.  It's lightweight and sheer and perfect for laying.  Courtney is here helping, wearing her boots, a super cozy cardigan made of Malabrigo Rios and a stunning lace shawl made from Tosh Light.  Joyce will be in shortly for her class and she's sure to have on some surprise sweater I haven't seen yet.  I can't wait to see the sweaters that walk in the next few days.  Please come and model something for me!

I love when someone comes in wearing something they made. Typically, I mirror your enthusiasm when you start a project but I rarely it beyond the skeins you walk out with. Send me your pictures or wear them proudly.  We know the pride (and relief) you feel when you finally finish something.  Don't forget to share it with us.

I have talked about the shop changes we've made over the summer and while it will always be a work in progress, we are finally finished fixing soggy walls and reorganizing yarn.  There are tons of new yarns and tons of finished projects on display.  We have all the wooly yarns on one side of the shop and all the non-wooly yarns on the other.  All are organized by weight.  We have also added many sample projects to the walls and shelves. This should help you find the yarn you need when you have a project in mind and provide inspiration when you don't.  With that in mind, I invite you to join us for an open house from Friday, October 17 through Sunday, October 19.   We'll have snacks and refreshments, as well as lots of special sales. More details will follow.

There are a few spots left in this weekend's sock class and glove class.  Call to sign up if you're interested.

See you soon,
